TEXTURE IS THE NEW COLOUR

TEXTURE IS THE NEW COLOUR

TEXTURE IS THE NEW COLOUR

Too long have we been relying on plain coloured, flat upholstery fabrics. With decisions around choosing the ideal fabric for your couch being one of the most important considerations in bringing your living room space to life, I always recommend options that focus on bold, interesting textures that create a more curated interior statement. Tactile textures that are as pleasing on the eye as they are to the touch provide a great way to bring organic balance to your space.   At Sofacompany.com, we offer an infinite playground of the highest quality fabrics that create the pattern and movement we love.

With the average homeowner buying a sofa only three times in their life - once every 25 years - it's no wonder that best-selling upholstery fabrics are plain, neutral colours. While a beautiful grey sofa will certainly stand the test of time, we are excited to introduce a collection of neutral, timeless fabrics that are not plain at all.

Our new boucle and ‘mohair-feel’ fabrics deliver on strong abrasion performance, offer minimal pilling and are of the highest levels of serviceability - up to 100,000 rub count. Perfect for couches, armchairs, ottomans and corner units.  Have a look at our new Maya Cream and Glore Mole range that has taken our European market by storm.

Passionate about the environment?  We are too.

With a considerable proportion of our high quality fabrics being made from recycled polyester, you can take comfort in knowing that your couch is not only beautiful but that it is also an environmentally responsible choice.

Selecting a sofa fabric can be challenging. For peace of mind and to provide you with the opportunity to physically feel of the fabric in the comfort of your own home, take advantage of our complimentary fabric swatch offer to send you 5 swatches of your choice

LEG IT

An integral part of any couch or chair design is the legs.  The height and shape of the legs in conjunction with the material specification are fundamental considerations.

We offer 6 different leg options for most of our sofas and arm chairs; 4 timber options varying in wood and stain, and 2 metal options.

Lighter wood finishes, typical of authentic Danish design create spaces that feel relaxed and natural. Furniture with metal legs can avail smaller spaces to feel more open and inviting.

FACTS ABOUT FOAM

It is a common misconception that “foam density” relates to the firmness of a foam cushion. In actual fact, the “foam density” correlates to the quality and longevity of the foam material. The higher the foam density, the longer the cushions will retain their shape and deliver consistent comfort.

Furniture designed for heavy commercial use may call for foam with a foam density of between 32 to 40kg. Our commitment to producing the finest quality furniture for your living room is evidenced by our use of 35kg high density foam that spans our entire range. Longevity is as important to us as is our manufacturing couches with the finest Danish design and highest comfort levels.
